Fastpitch World Series Invite
Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the 2012 Open Fastpitch World Series Invitational, hosted by Midwest Sports Complex (www.MidwestSportscomplex.com) and other surrounding Indianapolis complexes on July 18th - July 22nd, 2012.
The Fastpitch World Series Invitational is open to all sanctioned teams in the 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u age groups.
The Fastpitch Invitational will use a 5-game guarantee as its world series tournament format. Teams will be seeded into pools based on geographic area Ýto not play familiar teamsß. All teams will be seeded into a double elimination championship bracket following pool play. Seeding will be based on pool finish. The exact format of the tournament e.g. number of games, number of teams in each pool, etc., will be set by the tournament director after all entries have been confirmed.
To guarantee your spot in the tournament, your team will need to submit the entry form along with the entry fee.
14u will be at 40ft
Tournament format will be 3 pool games, into double elimination.
Game length: 1 hour 30 minutes

Opening Ceremonies will be at 5:00p on July 19th and will consist of:

All Complexes will have full service concessions area with a wide variety of items. Team water coolers are permitted.
Awards:
Awards package will be based on the number of teams in the tournament. Below is the full size package that will be awarded for divisions with more than 32 teams.

All teams will be required to check-in at the coaches breakfast.
1. Proof of Team Insurance: Each team will be required to show a valid certificate of insurance at check-in
Gift Exchange:
There will a team gift exchange during the opening ceremonies. The exchange will take place with the team you play in your first pool game. Teams should bring something that is representative of their home area, the value of the gifts are not important. It is recommended that teams bring a minimum of 16 gifts to exchange.
RV’s will be charged $10 a day.
Skills Competition:
Coaches pitch Home Run Derby Ýbehind screenß
Home Run derby winner will receive a new Worth Bat ÝTBD by new model at the timeß. Each team can submit one player per team. The 12u and 14u winner will compete for an overall champion to receive a bat. The 16u and 18u winners compete for an overall champion to receive a bat. 2 Rounds - 2nd round will be with the top hitters Ýif 2 or more are tiedß. If there is only one with the most, then we will take the top 2 places. Example. Player one hit 6 hr, and player 5, 6, and 9 hit 5 hr. Then all will compete in final round for winner. Each round is new, no carryover.
Fastest Base runner: Home to Home
Fastest Base Runners in each age group will receive a new pair of cleats ÝTanel 360 Certificateß. Each team can submit 2 players.
Around the Horn: Team Competition Diagram

Bracket schedules will be posted one week in advance. The pool play and double elimination brackets will also be given at the coaches meeting.
Note that all times are subject to change. Please verify the itinerary during the team check-in. Once the tournament begins, managers must check the main bracket board for any changes in game times, field assignments, or other items related to World Series Play or functions.
World Series Merchandise:
The 2012 Fastpitch World Series Invitational apparel and souvenirs, such as T-Shirts, shorts, and sweat pants will be sold at all tournament locations.
