Compassionate Ministry

Communion to Homebound

Catholic parishioners who are unable to attend Holy Mass are brought Communion by Eucharistic Ministers every weekend following Mass.

To be placed on this list the parishioner or family member need only call the parish office either on permanent or temporary basis.

Trainings are held throughout the year, to be added to this ministry.

Communion to the Hospital

Ministers of the Eucharist from Sacred Heart Church bring communion to all Catholic patients at Community General Hospital, Sterling.

The scheduled visits take place in the morning hours on Monday and Wednesday.

First Friday Visits

Father and Deacon visit all homebound parishioners on the first Friday of the month. The visits are scheduled in advance.

As with communion to the homebound, this can be on a permanent or temporary basis by simply calling the parish office.

Rides to Church

This ministry provides assistance for those who are unable to get to church.

Volunteers will pick up the person at their residence and return them home after Mass.
